About Me

Hello there! I'm mostly known as Rusty around the interwebs, so please feel free to call me Rusty! I am primarily a hobby artist with the small hope that I could make art my career sometime in the future. For now though, I am quite content to be a pig geneticist (I do a lot of statistics) by day and an artist by evening.I am happily married to the most wonderful man on the planet and we have three beautiful fur babies: Thea, a longhaired barn cat turned queen of the house; Loki, a stray kitten that showed up at our doorstep and turned chonky food-loving house cat; and Hera, a German shorthaired pointer who literally has all the energy in the world and will actually run for days and not stop.My primary area of focus is on the group I founded with a wonderful team of people over on deviantArt called Realm-of-Elaphaea. It is a deer-based RPG with ways to play for all types of interests! My current goals are to get better at deer anatomy and lock down a set style for some simpler types of art. Oh, and lineart, because I seem to never be satisfied with mine haha

Terms of Service

By inquiring about a commission, adding yourself to my waitlist, by submitting a commission request, by purchasing a commission, or owning any piece of artwork or a design done by me, you are automatically subject to the terms of service as stated below and all future updates.

Preferences

1. My primary area of drawing expertise is horses, however, I am also working to improve my deer anatomy and eventually branch into other animals. For best quality work, horses or deer are your best bet.2. I will not draw anything NSFW, featuring extreme gore, or other explicit content.3. I will not draw anything containing discriminatory content.

Payment

I will only accept payment through PayPal, either through invoice or my PayPal.me link.Method of payment will be discussed when payment is required.

Process

1. Check if I have commissions open over on my commissions page.1.1. Check my to-do list over on my notion page to see slot openings and commission process.2. The client should select their commission from the available commission types on my commissions page.3. The client should then submit their commission request through my google form. The client should provide active account or email where I can contact you.4. I will respond to the client's request and we will talk details and expected price.5. Once details are finalized, the client's commission will be added to my active to-do list.6. I will then begin working on the client's commission and will send the client a sketch for approval. The client and myself will work with the sketch until the client is satisfied.7. Once the sketch is approved, the client will be required to send full payment. Payment plans can be discussed for orders over $150.7.1. If the client fails to send payment within 72 hours, the commission will be considered cancelled and I will reclaim all completed work to be used as I see fit.8. After payment is received, I will continue to complete the commission.8.1. As a hobbyist with a time consuming job, I do not have a set timeline for delivery of the initial sketch. This is why I do not accept payment until I have started working on the client's piece. Once the sketch has been completed, the final product will be delivered within 4 months.8.2. If I anticipate a longer wait time, I will inform the client directly.9. Once the commission is completed and sent to the client, the client has 72 hours to send any desired edits back. After this time has passed, I will consider the commission closed and no further edits can be made to the piece. The client should provide an email address for the delivery of the final piece.9.1. If the client requests large changes (recoloring, reshading, pose adjustment, addition of accessories, repositioning of accessories, etc) at this stage, additional fees will be required.

Policies

1. I reserve the right to refuse a commission request from any potential client if I am:
- unable to do the work.
- not comfortable with the content.
- not comfortable with said client.
- for any reason I deem necessary.
2. The client should not constantly pester me for updates or screenshots. I will send in-progress shots as I am able.3. The client should not send payment until told to do so.4. A potential client may request something that is not displayed on my currently available commissions list and we can discuss prices and timelines.5. In the event that a commission has been reserved by a client and I adjust my commission prices, I and the client will honor the price that was discussed at first contact. I will never require more payment than initially discussed unless under circumstances where the client requests drastic changes close to commission completion.6. I will accept payment plans on purchases over $150 (to be discussed on a case-by-case basis). However after the sketch is done, I will not proceed to completely finish the commission until full payment is received.7. Once payment is sent, refunds will not be given unless I cannot complete your commission within the timeline described above. Any work done up to this point will be retained by me and will be used as I see fit.8. Clients may not use my work for any sort of commercial purposes unless we have discussed it previously and come to an agreement or the artwork was sold with that intent (ie, an adopt base). If the artwork was sold with the intent to be used for commercial purposes, it will be specified for that artwork. The client may use my work for their own personal needs and can re-post it however and where ever they like with credit given to me as the artist. My watermark or signature should never be removed. I also reserve the right to use any of my commissioned pieces as examples for future clients.9. Prices are subject to change depending on detail requested or if the client wishes to use the piece commercially.10. My works may not be altered or edited in any fashion by the client unless permission has been granted.11. None of my works may be used in any blockchain-related technology, to include NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space. These policies are subject to change and evolve over time.

Design Policies

These policies are specifically attached to any designs I have created or will create in the future for the purpose of sales.1. Designs created by me may not be sold for more than their purchase price.1.a. The price of purchased commissions may be added to the sale price of a design.1.b. The price of self-completed artwork may be added to the sale price of a design. However, I do not appreciate the creation of artwork to flip a design and sell it for more. If I have evidence that this has been done, the person will be added to my blacklist and will be banned from all future purchases.2. You may alter or edit one of my designs to suit your tastes. However, please always keep the original design with the altered design and do not separate the two in the event of a sale. Credit will also always be given back to me as the original creator.
